Use it with the device you already own

Plan a route in Global Adventurer, follow it on your watch or bike computer, and bring back what you record there. This is what works with each device, and what is still to come.

Apple Watch

Any Apple Watch on watchOS 10 or later

Our own app on the watch, installed with the iPhone app.

In the app at launchRecord on the watch by itself, with its own GPS and heart rate. The hike moves to the phone when they are next together.
In the app at launchWith the phone in range: live figures, a bearing arrow to the next waypoint, the climb you are on, and an offline picture of the route.
In the app at launchFinished hikes and rides can be saved to Apple Health as workouts, to close your rings.
In the next updateA tap on the wrist for each turn, for leaving the route, rejoining it and arriving.

Garmin

fēnix, Forerunner, Instinct, Enduro, Venu, vívoactive, Edge and anything else that syncs with Garmin Connect

Connect your Garmin account once in Settings. Nothing to install on the watch. Part of Pro.

In the app at launchRoutes you plan or pick go to Garmin Connect as courses and sync to your watch or Edge.
In the app at launchActivities you record on the Garmin arrive in the app by themselves, with the track, heights and heart rate.
In the next updateShare your live location from the watch itself, with the Global Adventurer Live data field from the Connect IQ Store.

COROS

APEX, PACE, VERTIX and DURA

COROS takes routes as files through its own app.

In the app at launchSend to COROS hands a route to the COROS app as a GPX file. It goes into your Route Library, ready to sync to the watch.
In the app at launchActivities reach the app through Strava, if your COROS account sends them there.
PlannedDirect sync both ways, with no file to hand over.

Wahoo

ELEMNT ROAM, ELEMNT BOLT and ELEMNT ACE

For bike computers. Part of Pro.

In the next updateConnect your Wahoo account and send any route to your ELEMNT as a course. Sending it again updates it.
In the app at launchUntil then: export the route as GPX and open it in the Wahoo app.

Suunto

Race, Vertical, 9 Peak and others that use the Suunto app

By file for now.

In the app at launchExport a route as GPX and import it in the Suunto app, which syncs it to the watch.
In the app at launchActivities reach the app through Strava, if your Suunto account sends them there.
PlannedDirect sync both ways.

Strava

Whatever you record with, if it uploads to Strava

The bridge for watches we do not connect to directly: Polar, Suunto, COROS, Wahoo, Zwift. Part of Pro.

In the app at launchActivities on Strava come into the app, one at a time or as they are recorded.
In the app at launchHikes and rides you finish in the app can be sent to Strava.

Any other GPS or app

Polar, Hammerhead Karoo, Bryton, TwoNav, handheld GPS units, other apps

A GPX file is the common language. Importing and exporting are free.

In the app at launchExport any route or recorded hike as GPX, KML, KMZ, CSV or GeoJSON, then load it through your device’s own app or website.
In the app at launchImport GPX, KML, KMZ, GeoJSON, CSV and NMEA from Files, Mail, AirDrop or any share sheet. Waypoint names, notes and symbols are kept.

Wear OS

Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch and others

These watches pair with Android phones, and Global Adventurer is for iPhone and iPad.
