The walk
The walk starts at the car park in Angle village. Tracks and paths lead out to the shore of Angle Bay and the Old Point House pub, then round Angle Point past the lifeboat station, where the Coast Path turns west along the north shore of the peninsula above Milford Haven. It passes Chapel Bay Fort, one of the forts built to guard the waterway, with Thorn Island, another, offshore, and goes on to West Angle Bay. Lanes lead back to the village.
It is 6.3 km with 48 m of ascent; allow about 1½ hours. The grade is Easy.
The path runs close to the shore and low cliffs in places: stay on it. The National Park warns that Chapel Bay Fort is hidden by trees and scrub and has deep ditches. About a fifth of the walk is on lanes.
The Angle car park is marked free in OpenStreetMap. The National Park lists the 366 bus and the Coastal Cruiser to Angle.
