The walk

The walk starts from the Southend car park on the front at Mumbles. It goes east first to Bracelet Bay, where Mumbles Lighthouse stands on its islet, then turns back along the Wales Coast Path on the cliffs above Limeslade and Rotherslade, and on to Langland Bay and its sands. The path rounds Snaple Point and crosses the cliffs to Caswell Bay, where it ends at the foreshore car park.

It is 6.7 km with 81 m of ascent; allow about 2 hours. The grade is Easy.

This is a one-way walk, so plan your way back: a lift, or a bus (check the timetable); the same path back is another 6.7 km. The path runs above the beaches and some sections have steps; stay away from the cliff edge, and take care if you drop on to the sands, which the tide covers.

Both car parks, Southend and Caswell Bay, charge. There are cafés and pubs at Mumbles, Langland Bay and Caswell Bay.
