The walk

The walk starts from the Dolgoch Falls car park on the B4405, near Dolgoch station on the Talyllyn Railway. Paths lead up the wooded ravine to the lower falls and on past the upper falls to the third set higher up, the three levels of Dolgoch Falls, and come back down by a second path through the wood on the other side of the stream.

It is 2.4 km with 112 m of ascent; allow about 1 hour. The grade is Moderate: it is short, but the Talyllyn Railway says the paths are steep with many steps, apart from the one to the lower falls.

The railway asks walkers to take care on the steep paths, and says the path from the car park to the station is not suitable for the elderly or people with disabilities. Access to the falls is free, with donation boxes on the way.

The public car park is pay and display; the railway's page gives no prices.
