The walk
The walk starts at the National Trust car park at Penbryn. A path leads down towards Penbryn's mile-long sandy beach, and the Coast Path then climbs west along the cliffs, with the headlands of the Ceredigion coast opening ahead, to Tresaith. There a waterfall tumbles over the soft cliff to the rocky shore. The walk returns by the Coast Path, with a short change of line above the beach.
It is 5.5 km there and back with 219 m of ascent; allow about 2 hours. The grade is Easy.
The path runs along steep cliffs and slopes, with several climbs: stay on it, above all in wind or wet. The walk stops at Tresaith and does not follow the cliff path on towards Aberporth. Penbryn's church, St Michael's, a Grade I listed building on a hill near the sea, is a short detour.
Penbryn beach and its car park are National Trust; OpenStreetMap gives the car park's operator but no charge, so check before you go.
