The walk

The walk starts at the Paragon car park in New Quay, the harbour town on Cardigan Bay. A short loop goes round New Quay Head for views over the bay, where bottlenose dolphins live, and down to the harbour front and the dolphin information point. Lanes and paths then lead east above the town's beaches to Llanina and on by the coast to the cove of Cei Bach, and the walk returns by Llanina Point.

It is 9.1 km with 146 m of ascent; allow about 2½ hours. The grade is Easy.

The path runs along the coast and near the edge of low cliffs in places: stay on it, above all in wind or wet. About a quarter of the walk is on lanes.

The Paragon car park charges, according to OpenStreetMap, which gives Ceredigion Council as its operator. There are toilets at Cei Bach and shops, cafés and pubs in New Quay, according to Ceredigion County Council's Cei Bach leaflet.
