The line is OpenStreetMap's mapping of the route (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL), via Waymarked Trails, with heights from a 30 m terrain model. Check the current official route before a long trip: diversions and permitted paths change. See the source.
The trail
The pilgrim road of St Kevin across the Wicklow Mountains, 26 km from Hollywood in west Wicklow to the monastic city at Glendalough. Lanes and forest tracks lead up the King's River valley to Ballinagee Bridge, where the start from Valleymount joins; the path then climbs to the Wicklow Gap, the high point of the day, where stretches of the old flagged pilgrim road can still be seen, and comes down the Glendasan valley to the round tower and churches by the Lower Lake. One long day, waymarked with yellow arrows.

Paths change, and the weather decides the day. The line comes from the source named under the map and the heights from a terrain model, so treat the figures as a guide. Check for diversions before you go, take a map, check the forecast, and turn back if it isn't right.
