The trail
Skåneleden is the network of waymarked trails across Skåne, in the south of Sweden, run by Region Skåne: seven sub-trails, about 1,600 km by its own count. Sub-trail 3, Ås till ås ('ridge to ridge'), runs 162 km from Åstorp through Söderåsen National Park and Höör to Brösarp in the east of Skåne. It is lowland walking through beech forest, ridges and farmland, with wind shelters and simple campsites along the way. Region Skåne publishes the stages and any reroutes at skaneleden.se.
