The trail

The Hermannsweg follows the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest from Rheine, by Tecklenburg, Bad Iburg, Bielefeld and Oerlinghausen, past the Hermann Monument and the Externsteine to Leopoldstal. Its own pages give 165 km, Wikipedia 156 km; the line here, from OpenStreetMap, measures 164 km.
