The route

One of the Elbe Cycle Route's official sections, about 290 km downstream from Dresden by Meissen's castle and cathedral, Riesa, Torgau, Luther's Wittenberg and Dessau to Magdeburg. It follows the river's dykes and water meadows through the Middle Elbe biosphere reserve, almost flat all the way, on one of Germany's most popular long-distance cycle routes.
