The walk
The walk starts from the car park by Manorbier Castle. It drops to the beach and takes the Pembrokeshire Coast Path west over the Priest's Nose, passing King's Quoit, a Neolithic burial chamber, and on along the cliffs above East Moor Cliff to Swanlake Bay, a quieter cove than Manorbier's. It then turns inland by field paths and a lane, and comes back to the village and the castle.
It is 7.4 km with 190 m of ascent; allow about 2½ hours. The grade is Easy.
Stay on the path and away from the cliff edge, above all in wind or wet. There are fields with livestock and some gradients. The Coast Path east of the castle goes on towards the Manorbier military range; this walk goes west and does not enter it.
The castle car park charges. Manorbier railway station is about 1.8 km from the start.
