The walk
From the Bóquer bus stop on the edge of Port de Pollença, follow the footpath up the valley to the sea at Cala Bóquer (the camí de Bóquer on OpenStreetMap, where the first part is a gravel service track). Return the same way.
It is 5.1 km there and back with 178 m of ascent; allow about 1¾ hours. The Ajuntament de Pollença gives the walk as 5.49 km there and back from the Avinguda de Bocchoris, about 1 h 30, with 174 m of accumulated height difference, low difficulty, on a footpath. The grade is Easy. The council says the way to the sea is perfectly signed, with the last 1.5 km between pines and two big rocks. The Govern de les Illes Balears's geotourism page describes the access path, from the third roundabout after the seaplane roundabout on the road from Port de Pollença to Formentor, as a public footpath some 3.0 km long to the cove (our line starts at the Bóquer bus stop and is about 2.6 km each way), and advises a hat, water and comfortable footwear. It says the access to the southern end of the cove is difficult, over rocks, and that the shore is prone to sea storms, so a calm day is best.
The council says the cove has a small pebble and gravel beach, open to the north and north-west winds, with a moderate number of bathers.
The council says to park at the Bóquer urbanisation and gives no charge. OpenStreetMap marks a bus stop named Bóquer at the start; look up the current TIB timetables for the lines that stop there.
