The walk
From the Bracklinn Falls car park on Bracklinn Road, a level path crosses woodland and open ground, with views towards Stirling, then a graded path zigzags down to the Keltie Water and follows it to the bridge over the falls. Cross and climb to a forest track, which runs up the glen high above the river, with views north to Ben Ledi, Stùc a' Chròin and Ben Vorlich. The track descends to a second bridge over the Keltie Water, near the Scout Pool, then climbs to a minor road. Turn left along the road to return to the car park.
It is 5.3 km with 170 m of ascent; allow about 1¾ hours. The grade is Easy: good paths and tracks, with a few steps.
The falls run through a gorge cut in soft puddingstone along a fault. The bridge is the third on the site: the first was swept away in 2004 and the steel bridge opened in 2023. At the falls the rocks are slippery and the edges drop steeply, so take care. The way back is on a quiet minor road.
The car park is free and, according to the National Park, fills early on fine days. Buses run to Callander, about 1 km away by a signed path.
