The walk
From the car park by the Cascade de Coo, follow the yellow waymarks across the road and up the steep wooded slope above the village. The path zigzags up past viewpoints over the Amblève valley, then runs east along the top to the Point de vue de Ster, at about 485 m, a few steps off the path and back. The way home drops by a lower path and lanes through the woods to Coo.
It is 4.2 km round with 221 m of ascent; allow about 1½ hours. The grade is Easy: short, but the first climb is steep and the paths are rough in places.
Take care crossing the road at the start. From October to the end of January, hunts can close woodland paths on set days: check ChasseOnWeb, Wallonia's hunting map, for your date and obey red notices at the edge of the woods.
The car parks by the falls are paid by ticket; parking is free in the evening and overnight.
