The walk
From the car park at L'Anse-aux-Amérindiens, follow the track south above the cove to where Les Graves trail continues. At the fork take the walkers' trail, not the gravel road on the right; it runs nearer the sea through woods and old fields above a string of coves. It rejoins the road just before the Cap-Gaspé lighthouse, about 95 m above the sea. Carry on down the path to the Bout du Monde (Land's End) lookout at the tip of the peninsula. Return the same way.
It is 8.8 km there and back with 312 m of ascent; allow about 3 hours. The grade is Moderate: a path through woods and fields, with short climbs between the coves.
Cliff edges near the cape are unfenced, and the wind can be strong. Watch for seals, whales and seabirds; black bears live in the park. Until 13 October 2026 admission is $7.25 an adult, youth 17 and under go free, and a Parks Canada Discovery Pass covers it. After Thanksgiving trails are not maintained, and the area gates close after the first snow.
The car park is at the end of boulevard de Grande-Grève, past the Grande-Grave heritage site in the park's south sector, off route 132 near Gaspé. No bus reaches the trailhead; Orléans Express and RÉGÎM buses serve Gaspé.
