The walk
From the car park beside the A47 near Belleek, the waymarked Rossergole Point trail circles the forest on the shore of Lough Erne, with views across the lough from the promontory. The ruins of Castle Caldwell stand beside the forest.
It is 4.1 km round with 11 m of ascent; allow about 1 hour. The grade is Easy: level paths, almost all gravel or undefined woodland paths, with no climbing to speak of. Waterways Ireland gives the walk as an easy 3.8 km loop of about 50 minutes.
This is a working forest, so parts of it may occasionally be closed because of forest operations: follow the safety signs. The castle itself is closed to visitors for safety reasons. A jetty beside the car park serves boats on the lough.
Parking is free according to OpenStreetMap; nidirect gives no charge.
