Połonina Wetlińska from Przełęcz Wyżna

From the car park on Przełęcz Wyżna, take the yellow path up through the beech forest and out onto the open grass of Połonina Wetlińska to Chatka Puchatka, the national park's day shelter on the rocks of Hasiakowa Skała. Then follow the red path west along the broad, grassy ridge to Osadzki Wierch, 1,253 m, its highest point, with long views over the Bieszczady. Return the same way.

It is 9.5 km there and back with 441 m of ascent; allow about 3½ hours. The grade is Moderate: a short, steady climb, then easy walking on the open ridge.

The shelter is open from 8:00 until sunset; in October 2026 the park began paving work round it, and water and toilets have been limited after storms. The ridge is exposed to wind and storms, and in winter carries deep drifted snow and cornices. Walking is allowed only from sunrise to sunset; dogs are not allowed. Entry costs 11 zł (2026).

The car park on the pass charges. In summer a bus links it with Wetlina and Ustrzyki Górne.
