The walk

From the Słowiński National Park's car park at Rąbka, west of Łeba, follow the road west through the pine forest between Lake Łebsko and the sea, past the wartime rocket-launch site, now an open-air museum, to Wydma Łącka, a moving dune of bare sand about 40 m high. Climb it for the view over the lake and the sea, then go down to the beach and walk east along the shore to the ruined church of St Nicholas at Stara Łeba, and back through the forest to Rąbka.

It is 16.3 km with 42 m of ascent; allow about 4 hours. The grade is Moderate: level walking, but much of it on soft sand.

Keep to the marked path and the open part of the dune: the rest is strictly protected. There is no shade on the dune and the sand gets very hot in summer. The park charges entry from 1 May to 30 September (10 zł in 2026) and is free from October to April. Dogs are not allowed on the dune path. Electric carts run from Rąbka to the dune.

In the 2026 season the Rąbka car park cost 40 to 50 zł a day. Łeba has a railway station.
