The walk
From the village centre, follow the yellow diamonds east and then north up onto the hills by woodland paths and lanes. The way reaches the Belvédère and the Rochers de Serin, limestone outcrops that look over the Chavée, the dry valley where the Lesse once flowed before it went underground through the caves. It then turns west along the hillside and comes back down to Han. The loop goes anticlockwise.
It is 5.3 km round with 100 m of ascent; allow about 1½ hours. The grade is Easy: woodland paths and lanes, with one steep climb to the viewpoint.
The caves and the wildlife park are a separate paid site; this walk stays outside it. From October to the end of January, hunts can close woodland paths on set days: check ChasseOnWeb, Wallonia's hunting map, for your date, and obey any red notice at the edge of the woods.
There are paid car parks in the village; the commune's large car park on the Rue de la Lesse has barriers and charges by the hour. The nearest railway station is Rochefort-Jemelle, about 7 km away.
