The route
One of Europe's longest railway paths, about 125 km on the old Vennbahn line from Aachen through the German Eifel and East Belgium to Troisvierges in Luxembourg. It climbs gently along the edge of the High Fens by Raeren, Kalterherberg and Sankt Vith, crossing the German–Belgian border again and again, then drops through the Our valley by Burg-Reuland. The gradients are railway-gentle and nearly all of it is asphalt.
