The trail
The South Loch Ness Trail runs from Fort Augustus along the south-east side of the loch, by Foyers and Dores, to Torbreck on the edge of Inverness, 58 km on the Inverness Loch Ness tourist board's page. It is also the second half of the Loch Ness 360° Trail.
Stages
A suggested split into 3 days of about 19.5 km (12.1 mi). Each day ends at the town or village on the way nearest to an equal share of the distance, or at a hotel or hostel where there is none. These are not the official stages: check where you can stay before you book.
