The route
Canada's longest linear park follows the old Canadian Pacific line through the Laurentians for about 200 km from Mont-Laurier to Saint-Jérôme, north of Montreal. Ridden southward it passes lakes and rivers by Nominingue, Labelle, Mont-Tremblant, Sainte-Agathe and Val-David, on gentle railway grades, and several of the old stations along it are now cafés and information points. It is a cycle path from spring to autumn; in winter parts of it become ski and snowmobile trails.
