The trail

Two hundred kilometres along the Costa da Morte in Galicia, from Malpica to the lighthouse on Cape Fisterra, by cliff paths, dunes, coves and fishing villages and out to lighthouses such as Cabo Vilán and Touriñán. The path is rough and steep in places, the days are long and there is little shade; rooms are in the villages along the way, and the Atlantic is kindest from late spring to early autumn.

Stages

Paths change, and the weather decides the day. The line comes from the source named under the map and the heights from a terrain model, so treat the figures as a guide. Check for diversions before you go, take a map, check the forecast, and turn back if it isn't right.
