The ride

From the car park at the Otterlo entrance (Ingang Otterlo) the park road runs east through woods to Marchantplein, the park centre beside the Kröller-Müller Museum. From there the ride heads north to Jachthuis Sint Hubertus, H.P. Berlage's hunting lodge of 1920 by its lake, then east and south across the open heath of the Deelensche Veld and round the south of the park before turning back west to Otterlo.

It is 28.9 km (18.0 miles) round with 27 m of climbing; allow about 2 hours of riding. The grade is Easy. It is nearly flat, on cycle paths and quiet park roads, most of them tarmac.

Cycling is allowed only on the paved roads and cycle paths, and fatbikes are banned; speed pedelecs and racing bikes must keep to the marked paths. Dogs must be on a lead. Red deer, wild boar and mouflon live in the park. It closes at 7pm in October and 6pm in November and December, with last entry an hour earlier.

Entry in 2026 costs €13.85 for adults and €6.95 for children aged 6 to 12, and parking outside the entrance €4.90. Your own bike costs nothing, and free white bikes wait at the entrances, Marchantplein, the museum and the lodge. The museum, open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, needs its own ticket. Bus 106 from Ede stops at the Otterlo entrance.
